Occasional network issues continue even after swapping the NW card.
I utilize the integrated 2.5gbs nw interface on my motherboard. For a few weeks, my network has been intermittent, usually starting within the first hour after power-on. The only solution to restore connectivity is a system reboot. Once that's done, the link remains stable throughout the day or hours. After two weeks of frustration and BIOS updates, I purchased a PCIe NW card, thinking I was resolved with this. The problem continues. I also tested connecting the system to another switch, but it didn't help. My CPU runs at a slight undervoltage with PBO and thermal limits capped at 85°C. Any advice on what to do next? Operating system: The issues occur on Arch Linux and Windows 11. Hardware specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master x670e Ryzen 7950X 64GB 6000-30 Ripjaws S5 RTX 4080 1000 Watt Seasonic Prime TX-1000 Modular 80+ Titanium BIOS version: F34a (Feb 07, 2025) Error messages: Under arch I can see some kernel logs like: Jan 20 09:04:14 kernel: igc 0000:0d:00.0 enp13s0: PCIe link lost, device now detached
Thanks for the update, the cables were swapped out. The switch model is 2.5Gbps (QSW-1105-5T), and everything else connected to it is working properly.
