Hey everyone, I encountered an issue when trying to boost my RAM. I double-checked compatibility and followed all the steps. But now my system restarts and resets the CMOS. I’m planning to install another 2x8GB module, but my current setup runs on a 16GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance kit and a separate 16GB stick. I’ve tested various speeds, even going as low as 2133MHz where it was stable, but it becomes unstable above 2666MHz and reverts back. It might be related to power supply or DRAM voltage issues. I’m sharing my PC specs below for reference. My goal is 32GB total, using this machine for both work and gaming. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! No, they aren't identical in timing even though they share the same manufacturer, model, and speed.

Do you have XMP/DOCP activated or are you adjusting the RAM speed directly? If manual, prioritize enabling XMP/DOCP before making changes and verify.

No, the DRAM maker is different for the new 2 sticks compared to the old ones.

The DIMM manufacturers might vary, and the Corsair labels aren't necessarily uniform across products.

I think it's set to auto based on your friend's suggestion. This might mean they're not receiving enough power.

Adjust the voltage settings to 1.35V for the DRAM and 1.1V for the SOC. Test startup at various frequencies such as 2666MHz, 2933MHz, etc.
