Occasional interruptions every 10 to 15 minutes
CPU performance is solid at 7800x3d, GPU runs well with Gigabyte components. RAM is Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000, SSD is Samsung 980 TB. Occasional stuttering occurs every 10-15 minutes during gaming, especially with GSync and Vsync enabled. Frame rates drop to 130-138 FPS, sometimes to 93 or lower. GPU usage falls by 10-15% during these events, and frame times jump from 7ms to 30-40ms. CPU usage spikes slightly between 25% and 30%. Task Manager doesn’t show any sudden processes. I’ve tested various settings, BIOS updates, RAM swaps, different monitors, and drivers. Temperatures stay within normal ranges. I’m leaning toward the GPU or memory being the culprit. Anyone else facing similar problems?
I faced a similar problem in certain games but not others. I discovered my wallpaper changed every five minutes, which contributed to a stutter. Could you suggest something that updates every ten or fifteen minutes?
There’s no such setup. The timing varies a lot. I’ve checked and it could be around 10 minutes after the game starts, then 14 minutes later, or even shorter like 8 minutes.
I'm experiencing the same problem with the same part being sent twice for the RMA, even after multiple attempts.
Check ISLC https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=w...yDHmZ_3Aty turning off gsync... you'll notice it's ineffective and causes problems.
I attempted the software but didn<|pad|>'s output. I captured a recording with LatencyMon and Task Manager. https://streamable.com/7oaspf Watch the frame counter on the right. R: "How long it takes for the renderer to handle a frame." G: "How long the graphics card spends drawing one frame." T: "The T-Meter tracks the overall frame time from render start to GPU completion. It differs from R + G because frames are queued and the CPU and GPU work together." The T/frametime keeps increasing, causing significant FPS drops and noticeable stutters. This occurs intermittently. I notice my monitor is mounted on the right side, which has been bumped or knocked around in the room. Each time FPS falls and T-frametime jumps, the right screen flickers. The center and middle areas look fine. I also experience a big FPS drop to 72fps every minute or so (about half of 144), with T-frametime at 27ms. This lasts roughly five seconds before returning to 141. Could my monitor be contributing to these issues? The game is distributed across three monitors using SMP, so a problem on the right could affect the entire session?
I found a possible cause for the stutters you're experiencing. I've observed that fan behavior on the GPU triggers noticeable delays when its speed changes. For instance, when running at a fixed 60% load, stutters are rare except occasionally. However, adjusting the custom temperature/RPM curve leads to stuttering—like a 55% to 53% shift causing a brief lag, followed by another shift to 53% to 56%. I've attached an image from Afterburner for reference.
The GPU's automatic fan control starts at 0% until it reaches 60°C, then increases to 63% and maintains that speed until the temperature drops below 60°C. It only resets to 0% after about 20 seconds if the temperature rises again, which causes a noticeable stutter every second during those transitions.
When Afterburner is off, the same pattern appears in HWInfo. This suggests a fan-related issue, possibly affecting Mobo or PSU units. It seems the main source of the stutters is linked to fan speed fluctuations.
Ongoing problem still. Switching to PresentMon instead of LatencyMon or Afterburner. It’s displaying these issues during big stutters and frame drops. CPU wait is high, GPU seems fine. Spike in CPU usage and GPU activity. Could point to a faulty CPU or motherboard?
Additional proof highlights the reduction without GPU delays. In reality, GPU consumption drops significantly.
