I've experienced some internet problems recently, thinking it might be with my ISP. When I use the computer, it appears connected but then drops unexpectedly. In the task bar, you'll see a small Ethernet symbol on the left, yet there are no visible cables and I'm not on Wi-Fi. I tried using a fresh Ethernet cable and it still doesn't work. This is my first time seeing this issue, so I'm quite puzzled.

Restart your router or modem. I had to do this periodically with my old device. Make sure it’s functioning properly. A friend of mine experienced the same issue a month ago; it turned out the router was failing.

Noted. I've experienced some router problems before, but I haven't noticed the global internet icon before. I'll keep you updated once it works. Thanks!

Hi, could you include the manafacturer and model of the router and/or modem that you are working with and any ethernet switches if applicable (dedicated switches not the ones built in to the router/modem)? You may want to call your ISP and see if they are having fluctuations on their side.
