Several days back I installed a mod and everything worked smoothly until my game froze abruptly. My keyboard's RGB turned off briefly, then came back on, but I couldn't navigate through the menu. I tried using Windows settings but nothing functioned. Eventually, I restarted the computer. I ran the game in Borderless mode to check for issues, but it still froze. The task manager opened, but everything was broken—icons wouldn’t load, and I couldn’t switch to the performance tab. Even after deleting all mods, clearing the cache, and verifying files on Steam, the problem persisted. I ran stress tests with Prime95 and Furmark, tested my SSD and RAM via CMD commands, and found no thermal throttling during testing.
Until now, I thought it was a Beamng issue, but recently while watching YouTube, the same freeze occurred. This time, I could open the performance tab in Task Manager, but my GPU reported -1% utilization. I’m unsure if my GPU is failing or just showing low usage because the graphs weren’t updating. I hope it’s not related to my motherboard or CPU. All components are new except the GPU, which is a temporary GTX 1050 from my old PC and never caused problems.
Could this be connected to an issue I experienced during my first boot when the HDMI port on the GPU wasn’t working properly? I had to switch to DisplayPort or else I wouldn’t get any signal. I built this PC myself after doing thorough research before attempting it without help. Everything went smoothly, and I’m confident I didn’t cause anything wrong. This freeze only happened during Beamng sessions and once while watching YouTube.
Other games like DayZ, Rust, GhCP, GMod, Minecraft, War Thunder, my summer car, Green Hell, and FS22 all ran perfectly. It occurred randomly—sometimes after 10 minutes of streaming, sometimes in intervals of 5 minutes or even just three seconds after loading into a Freeroam session. Since then, I’ve turned off NZXT CAM and AI Suite, assuming they might have conflicted with my BIOS, but haven’t tested Beamng yet.

Are you using the 13th or 14th generation Intel? Did you refresh the BIOS firmware to fix the overvoltage problem? If not, you might be in trouble. You'll need to return the Intel processor via RMA. By default, they apply excessive voltage to those chips.
Your RAM operates at a certain speed, but it experienced performance problems due to excessive overclocking in the D.O.C.P. profile. This led to unpredictable freezes that required a hard reset to resolve. You may want to adjust the settings to prevent this issue.
