Here are your specs again:

Ryzen 5 3600 (Gammaxx GTE V2 Cooler)
B450M Plus-Gaming TUF
RX 5500 XT (4GB)
HyperX 2x8GB 2666mhz
Cougar GEX 650w gold

I can play games like MHW at high settings and maintain around 60 fps. DRG runs smoothly at ultra with over 100 FPS. Even Apex performs well on mostly low settings, achieving 180+ FPS. The only issue is occasional drops to about 15 fps for a few seconds, usually without much graphical intensity. I’ve checked temperatures via HWinfo—GPU peaks at 82-84°C and average around 74°C, CPU at 74°C with an average of 63°C. Using HWinfo doesn’t indicate thermal throttling, so it might not be a hardware problem. I also tried MSI Afterburner during Deep Rock Galactic; everything worked fine, but later the GPU clock dropped to 296mhz and CPU usage fell to around 11%. I’ve looked up solutions on forums and Reddit, but nothing seems to help. What should I do? I just want to play games.

I recently saw another forum discussion about GPU fan curves. I added a fan curve to my GPU, but it actually showed overheating. The GPU was managing the temperature by reducing the clock speed, which is why it reports low temperatures on HWinfo. I just set the fan speed to 100% when it gets warm, and it stopped causing FPS drops.
