Over several months, my computer experienced frequent crashes (around ten per two weeks) after exiting idle states, such as when the UI refreshed. There were no blue screens during gaming. I tested both Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). I suspected a RAM issue, so upgraded from a 16x2 to a 32x2 configuration, but it didn’t resolve the problem. I swapped in an AMD R9 390 GPU, which fixed it but reduced performance. I sent my 3070 to repair, but they couldn’t replicate the issue. Additionally, I noticed some visual artifacts that aren’t affecting performance but are bothersome, especially during games. Restarting helped temporarily. VID_20211210_210205.mp4 Once, I saw this (refer to image) — the system warned it would crash but was still operational. Specs: Windows 11 x64, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070, VISION AMD Ryzen 5800X, Corsair 2x32GB DDR4 3600MHz, CL18 Vengeance, HX750i, ASRock B550M-ITX, Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB.

It seems the high voltage spikes might be affecting the 750W PSU. This also accounts for why the AMD FX-390X runs smoothly due to its lower power consumption. The video you mentioned is a useful reference for this issue.

During idle periods such as moving the mouse in Google Chrome, interacting with UI elements, typing to format code, etc., these actions typically occur. They mainly happen when the interface is redrawn in apps that don’t refresh every frame.

It seems the issue was linked to the display. Adjusting the refresh rate to 100Hz resolved it, though occasional minor visual hiccups still occur. Edit: The screen restarted or something caused the GPU to stop working. This happened when switching from idle to active mode due to a brief voltage drop. The warranty is now expired, so I can't fix it myself.
