pc specifications: Ryzen 5 5600g with 32GB RAM at 3200MHz, MSI Mag X570 Tomahawk, Max Wi-Fi, MSI RTX 3080, gaming setup including Corsair RM850x PSU, BIOS v1.30, running Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 22H2. Currently unsure of next steps. The machine sometimes crashes while playing games like Destiny 2, Smite 2, Total War: Warhammer 2, Ark ASA, Warframe, and Elden Ring. It fails to fully load the BSOD before rebooting even after disabling automatic reboots. Occasionally it black screens and restarts, but games run smoothly without FPS or overheating issues. Windows doesn’t generate crash dump files during BSODs or crashes. I’ve attempted various fixes but haven’t recovered any data. Only event viewer logs remain, mostly showing kernel-level codes (41) and occasionally volmgr 161, though the latter is rare.
Checked the newest BIOS updates, used RAM with a slower clock speed, and tested in Windows 11.

You require more available space on your drive than what RAM provides, since it writes everything into RAM (and if you've set a page file size, it must exceed your RAM amount). It also won't access encrypted drives during the BSOD. Some error codes strongly suggest storage issues, so retrieve the bugcheck code. Alternatively, consider adjusting the page file settings. On the BSOD screen, data is dumped to the page file and a dump is created on the next startup.
When you swap a part and it fixes the problem, that part was likely the cause. That means yes. If the issue still exists, it’s likely your PSU isn’t the problem.
