Hey everyone, last night while playing COD MW, my computer suddenly crashed with a BSOD. It vanished too quickly for me to read the error code. Afterwards it attempted a restart, displaying the AORUS logo but not the loading icon. After some time it prompted "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key." When entering BIOS, it listed my CPU, RAM, and both M.2 drives. I tried using a Windows 10 recovery USB for a startup repair, but it said the PC couldn't be fixed. I managed to boot from an Ubuntu live USB and began backing up important files, which appears to be successful (drives seem active). Is there any way to continue fixing Windows? A fresh installation might be necessary, though I have this strange sensation I might miss a backup. Could there be another issue—perhaps the boot drive is failing or the Windows install is corrupted? There might be system logs available from the Ubuntu live environment that could help identify the cause of the blue screen. Thanks all!

You can skip all other disks except the primary boot drive, attempt safe mode, restart, and turn off power three times consecutively. This will prompt Windows to open recovery settings.

I just managed to turn the PC back on, unsure of the reason. I tried several times last night but it didn’t work, so I decided to sleep. It started, but I didn’t press F12 fast enough, so it kept running. It attempted to "Fix the issues" and loaded recovery options, offering a CD/USB option. I chose that and inserted my USB drive. It booted directly to the desktop without further prompts, and seems to function properly now (I removed the USB and can restart the PC). I’ve been checking the Event Viewer, but didn’t find any crash details—only warnings from 35 minutes ago. There was an error today (a few hours ago, assuming I wasn’t booting into Windows) stating "The last shutdown from the system (TIME OF CRASH) happened unexpectedly." Any alternative to identify the exact error or consider a clean install later?
