I own an MSI A88X-G45 board with an A8-7650K processor. The APU runs at 3.3ghz by default, but I've boosted it to 4.3GHZ using the OC Genie button on my motherboard. The LEPA EXllusion 240 water cooling setup is performing excellently. My main worry is whether it's safe to keep the PC running for extended periods while overclocked, especially during light tasks like downloading or streaming. I'm frustrated by having to repeatedly open the case to adjust the OC Genie button. Is it advisable to leave the computer running for hours after overclocking? Are there options to install an external OC Genie switch on my case? Thanks!

There is no reason to remove the OC. While it is true that higher voltages lower the component's lifespan, generally it is almost nothing. Basically, it would drop from 10 to 7 years, but you will probably have replaced it by then. I run my FX 8320 with a +2 GHz OC and I had it for like 3 years already, still smooth and no visible performance drops.
