Hello guys, I have a 980 gtx g1 gaming gigabyte with temperatures not exceeding 73°C, but my OC crashes when I increase the voltage. Is it due to voltage or something else? I can even enable auto and reach 85°C at 55% fan speed.

Hello everyone, I have a GTX 980 G1 gaming card with 980GB RAM. My temperatures stay under 73°C, but my graphics card crashes when I try to raise them higher. Is this due to voltage issues or something else? I can even set it to auto and reach around 85°C at 55% fan speed. I wouldn’t worry about adjusting voltages if you were in my situation. Just stick to the highest clock speeds you have, ensuring stable performance without artifacts or crashes. You’ve probably hit the GPU’s limits. Raising voltages might help with clocks but will significantly reduce lifespan.

Hello everyone, I have a 980 gtx g1 gaming gigabyte. My temperatures stay under 73°C, but my OC keeps crashing when I try to go higher. Is it due to voltage or something else? I can even enable auto and reach 85°C at 55% fan speed. I wouldn’t adjust the voltages if I were you. Try setting the highest clocks you have with stable temps and no crashes. You’ve probably hit the GPU’s limit. Raising voltages might let you go further with clocks, but it will really hurt your GPU lifespan. I managed to reach 160MHz at both clocks, though it caused artifacts. With voltage it didn’t, but in some games it was okay and in others not. I was curious about how my OC compares to others. Best benchmark I used last week was 90.6.
