The most challenging game I play is World of Warcraft. My CPU operates at 3.9 GHz, with maximum temperatures reaching 68°C using the stock cooler. How much overclocking is possible with the stock cooler, and is it even necessary or beneficial?

An aftermarket cooler is essential for overclocking. 68C is fine, but using a stock cooler will quickly push temperatures to 90°C. Your current setup is great, just needs the proper cooler. Investing a little extra will save you later. Check this out:

CPU Cooler:
CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler
($34.50 @ Newegg)
You should aim for around 4.3GHz with it.

No requirement to OC for WoW. Your existing PC is capable of handling more demanding games effortlessly.

What is your frame rate? Press Control + R to view or hide it (as will happen when scrolling over the 'computer' button). And what do you think it should be?

This is a solved thread if you havn't noticed, I destroy WoW on ultra with my pc, I forgot to mention i was thinking about getting into other games so I wondered if OC ing my cpu was needed for more demanding games.
I have the $35 for a cpu cooler, so i'm going to try a light OC to 4.2 GHz atleast just because I can.
