Recently my Hyper 212 arrived and I installed it, though it was a bit tricky. The cooler finally settled into its case. I searched online for overclocking guides but didn’t find any that matched my motherboard. Every board is unique, so I wanted to be careful. When I first tried to push it to 21.5x, it didn’t work well and kept screeching. After a BIOS reset, I reached out for assistance. I’m new to this process.
Here are my details:
- AMD FX-6300 CPU
- GA-78LMT-USB3 motherboard
- 8GB 1600MHz RAM
- XFX R9 280X 3GB GPU
- CX600 watt power supply
- CM Hyper 212 cooler
I’m curious—what’s the highest frequency I can get from these specs? I’m aiming for at least 4.5 GHz.
