Nvidia drivers offer gsync compatibility. OSD means on-screen display, the interface on your monitors. I’d verify if it’s active in your monitor settings and attempt to turn it off to check for improvements. Another approach is reducing the refresh rate by one level to see if that fixes the problem.

The OS is displayed on the screen. Adjusting the monitor's configuration. Since the issue originates from the display, changes made there shouldn't impact the computer. If the problem persists, it likely stems from the monitor itself rather than the system.

Sure, I'll prepare for the tests tomorrow. Appreciate the details.

I understand your frustration. I experience the same problem on one of my monitors too. It's a $400 Samsung 1440p 144 hz HDR with freesync. After being off for some time, I notice the aurora effect appears and it takes a while to disappear. Once it warms up, it functions properly. This has been happening for several years, so I've given up trying to fix it. I've changed cables, used different GPUs (both AMD and Nvidia), toggled freesync and HDR settings, but 60/144 hz still doesn't seem to help much. It might just take time for the issue to resolve. My secondary monitor is working perfectly.

I wasn't aware you could boost a monitor's speed, so I doubted it was possible. For clarity, I attempted some adjustments. Currently, I'm using surround mode, but previously they operated normally on their own before. The issue still existed, albeit less severely. I think the monitor powers down automatically, which I haven't verified. Probably because no light came out when the computer was off. No other devices or consoles were connected.

Free Sync was disabled. It seems I can't view the OSD during this issue. This appears to be related to defect monitoring. All three units, possibly earlier models too, show similar behavior. It looks like some kind of random glitch. I've also tried rearranging the cables, but the monitors still act the same. One was slower, while the other two worked faster.

1. Is the error different every time? 2. Show me a picture of the back of the monitors so I can see the way cables are plugged in. Also send me a picture of the outlet/power strip they are plugged into. Does the effect of the error correspond to the monitors are plugged in? 3. Try it plugged into a different outlet/powerstrip. (The amount of chance that needs to happen in order for all of your monitors to have this issue is huge, so I'm looking for common variables) 4. Do you have frequent power outages? 5. Does it happen when you turn on the monitor but your pc is off? 6. Does it happen if you plug one end of an HDMI cable into your monitor but the other end isn't plugged in to anything? 7. Boot up your computer without your monitor plugged to it. Then once your computer has finished booting up, plug your monitor into your pc. Does it still happen? It might only happen when power goes into the monitor from the input. 8. Open up the monitor from the back so you can see the board, (DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING AS THERE CAN STILL BE SIGNIFICANT ELECTRICAL CURRENT STORED IN THE CAPACITORS) and search for blown capacitors. The reason I think it may be a blown/malfunctioning capacitor is because the problem goes away after time. You see, there is normally a voltage spike when you plug something into the monitor. If the voltage spike is too high, you can over charge capacitors and blow them. (This may signal a problem with the power source not doing its job properly) Then the voltage has nowhere to go, and kind of just sits in the blown capacitor and slowly trickles out. (causing the problem) But the voltage lowers over time because the monitor displays it. (using energy) So the brightness of the problem fades as the extra voltage lowers. (This is all just theory) I will attach an image of what a blown capacitor looks like.

Sorry for the delayed response. Had to rely on the computer over the weekend. The issue remains unchanged—it always produces the same result on the same screens. I have some images, but capturing clear photos was challenging except at the power ports. I haven’t tested it with a different monitor yet, so I’ll revisit that later. I don’t have time to try other outlets, and moving the device while searching for space isn’t feasible. I’m unlikely to start disassembling my monitor anytime soon. Your explanation seems reasonable given the consistent pattern.

Consider connecting a monitor directly to the wall instead of the power strip, and observe whether the issue persists.
