Observing sporadic CPU power and temperature increases during idle periods.
I initially believed it was a cooling problem, but AIDA64 points to a CPU-related issue. I created a sensor panel using a small display and an AIA64 module. According to AIDA, my Ryzen 5600X usually stays around 35W idle, and the cooler maintains just under 40°C. My concern is that during low load tasks (like web browsing), the CPU suddenly jumps to 55, 65, or 75W for a minute before returning to normal levels. I only see this because the cooler activates and fans run, and the panel shows wattage. Is this typical for the 5600X or new Ryzen models in general? Could it signal a bigger problem later? The CPU isn’t overclocked at all.
AMD XFR single core boosting method can create surges, and you might see spikes in v-core too. Many transistors switch on at once, reaching 30 watts even at full load—this is typical.
