Before beginning the hardware setup, follow these instructions with your GPU to reinstall drivers from Jaystwocents. Previously, I experienced frequent display driver crashes with my 3070 for several months. After applying the steps he demonstrated in his video, I haven’t encountered any more display driver issues for the past two weeks.

Today's testing, I'll share updates once I locate something (or not, I hope).

Unfortunately DDU didn't help for me. Even after DDU'ing the nvidia and AMD video drivers. Blanked at 8:25:01 uptime. I didn't think this would help seeing how my older 970 worked fine without using DDU for 48 hours. In case anyone is curious, this is what's happening. I figure it might be *slightly* more helpful to have a video of what I mean besides just describing it.

I managed to locate a colleague with an extra display to try, coming from another brand, so I’ll run the test and check the results.

After using the borrowed monitor for 48 hours, it remained stable without any issues. This behavior is unusual. It works well with my usual monitors connected to a 970, but not with a 2060. The 2060 functions properly when multiple monitors are linked together via DP, and even a single DP-connected monitor works fine. I also noticed I hadn’t connected my HD60 Pro to the borrowed one, so I plan to test the original monitor without it. It seems unlikely the connection will change much since no signal was sent during testing, and even then the monitor didn’t switch inputs.

I experienced problems with HDR and temporary blackouts when switching to higher resolution, especially during the transition from standard to HDR. It seems HDR was active on that monitor causing those issues.

Consider setting up the monitor driver too. Often the default Windows PNP works... but if issues arise, it's worth a shot.

The T24-i lacks HDR support, which means all HDR content appears as gray in Windows. Visiting Lenovo's site shows just one "driver" file, but only .cat, .icm, and .inf files are included in the package. Installing the Lenovo system update triggers an error because it isn't a genuine Lenovo system.

You haven't encountered such files before. After checking the Device Manager post-installation and reboot, they remain marked as PnP Generic. It's possible the installation wasn't completed thoroughly, though it's unlikely.
