Hello,
I was simply browsing my PC while updating the Windows updates and came across an unexpected clicking noise. It sounded like a fan hitting something solid and then stopping. When I entered the room, everything seemed normal, but I realized the sound only occurred during a restart. Upon checking the motherboard manual, I found that a yellow LED blinked briefly, which could mean the DRAM isn’t detected or failed. This unusual noise is more concerning than just failing RAM, as it might indicate a problem with the power supply unit. It’s worth considering how to test the RAM safely before proceeding.

That HX1000i is that age? Memory doesn't make noises, so the problem is more likely due to insufficient power rather than a faulty memory. Does this behavior occur every time you reboot or restart, and after it starts running in Windows do you experience any issues?

It's a year and a half since it was made, like other parts. If something is seriously wrong, wouldn't it just shut off to avoid damage? It only does that when I press "Restart". When I turn it on with the button, it starts up normally without any strange noises or issues. This is really confusing for me.

I believe the sound is likely coming from the power supply unit. Take apart everything and reassemble it if needed. Ensure all connectors are properly seated. This issue seems specific to a restart.
