Hello everyone!
In June I moved from AM4 to AM5 and since then I’ve encountered a problem that still isn’t fixed. The computer crashes, both displays go dark, and audio plays for about ten seconds before stopping completely. The fans on the GPU, case, and CPU cooler are working fine—they don’t reach full speed. Only a hard reset can restore the system.
It occurs randomly, whether I’m idle, watching YouTube, or playing games. For instance, I might restart the PC and it crashes within ten minutes, then it might not crash again for eight hours, two days, or even half an hour. It’s completely unpredictable.
I’ve tried everything:
1. Stress tests on CPU (Cinebench, Prime95, OCCT), GPU (Furmark, Heaven), RAM (Memtest86 passed all 4). Temperatures were excellent, and all tests ran smoothly for 2–8 hours each.
2. Tested with XMP profile enabled and disabled — no difference.
3. Disabled C-states, also tried enabling them—no change.
4. All power-saving modes turned off.
5. Clean Windows installation.
6. BIOS version 3.30.
7. Windows fully updated.
8. Uninstalled and reinstalled GPU drivers.
9. Installed the latest chipset drivers.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
Motherboard: ASRock X870 Steel Legend
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32GB 6000MT/s CL30
GPU: Sapphire RX 7800XT
PSU: Corsair RMx 850W Gold (2021)
CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm
Boot Drive: Samsung 970 EVO NVMe SSD
Additional drives: 1x SATA SSD, 2x SATA HDDs
Case: CoolerMaster H500 Mesh
Monitors: Dual setup – LG Ultragear 27GR75Q-B 1440p 164Hz IPS (DP) + AOC 24G2U 24” 1080p 144Hz IPS (DP)

Were there any components that were reused from the previous setup?
Clean Windows install.
Did you rebuild the installer for the operating system? Speaking of this, where did you obtain the installer for the OS? Did you install it offline, setting up all drivers manually during offline mode?

Yes, there are recycled components. The GPU, the boot drive (clean install the OS after the upgrade), and the remaining drives where I store old photos and university projects.
I installed Windows 11 along with drivers “online”. I downloaded the Windows 11 installer through the official Microsoft website, and a fat32 USB was used.
I’m aware of the newer BIOS updates, but there have been many dead CPUs for AsRock MBS and 9xxxx CPUs. I want to ensure the latest BIOS is stable before flashing it.
