Hi everyone, I’m experiencing an issue. I'm attempting to broadcast using OBS with CS:GO, but my frame rates are consistently low. Despite various adjustments, including utilizing the NVENC encoder, reducing resolution to 720p, and disabling two-pass encoding, the problem persists. I’m questioning whether my computer is capable of streaming effectively. Could my processor be insufficient for this task? Specifications: Intel i5-7400, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of memory. I would appreciate any assistance. Regards, Jobjanusz

Without utilizing nvenc, streaming is possible using any central processing unit as it relies solely on the graphics card and frees up all CPU resources for gameplay. If your transmission speed limits the stream, it could restrict available bandwidth for communication between the game and servers, resulting in significant delays.

I am currently employing NVENC encoding. My connection speeds are satisfactory, and I consistently maintain reliable network bandwidth; therefore, this isn’t a factor.

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue. I’m attempting to broadcast using OBS, but my in-game frame rate (in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) is consistently low. Despite various troubleshooting steps, including utilizing the NVENC encoder, reducing resolution to 720p, and disabling two-pass encoding, the problem persists. I'm questioning whether my computer is capable of streaming at all. Could my processor be insufficient for this task? Specifications: Intel i5-7400, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of memory. I’m hoping someone can offer assistance. Regards, Jobjanusz

Typically, it hinges on your graphics card, however, here, your processor is the primary concern 😊

Yeah, so is my cpu to bad for streaming? yes or no? What can I do so I can still livestream? Or is the only option buying a better CPU?
