You reduced the gain on the AUDIO mixer. If needed, further decrease it until the static disappears or simply shut down the microphone gain completely. Also, be mindful of nearby electronics such as phones that could interfere, and keep them away.

I adjusted the noise gain but it had no effect. Also, relocating my phones and iPods didn't resolve the issue.

The only sound you notice at normal volumes is a gentle breeze passing by the mic or a light impact. This issue can be easily resolved using a wind guard—like foam covering the mic head—or a more advanced solution for larger microphones.
