I don't have a second mic, and even if I did, it doesn't matter—it's not the mic, it's the filter. Stop asking me to do that. It isn't a useful troubleshooting step.

Checking all possibilities is a proper way to solve problems.
If you prefer advice from volunteers using their own time, you might encounter another form of filtering here. If they share information you don’t like, just move on, don’t react harshly.

No reason to test/replace hardware that works properly. Not gatekeeping, just common sense and not wasting time/money.

Your decision remains uncertain without using the second mic. As I thought before:
By removing the noise gate filter, the mic functions properly. When the filter is applied, you need to speak loudly for it to capture anything. This issue didn’t appear when you first got the mic, but emerged later. If software hasn’t changed, then the problem must be hardware-related (the mic itself). However, you’re not ready to test. I assume you’re not giving up, as you claim.
In the end, we can’t assist if you refuse help.
