I was thinking about purchasing a 240mm radiator, but my case can only accommodate a 120mm or a 155mm tower cooler. Will the Kraken X42 work well with an overclocked 4790K?
Right now I'm using a Cryorig H7.
Do you think it's worth spending? I don't want to waste money just for appearance. My goal is to reach 4.7GHz without overheating during stress tests.
*Phew. I forgot the X42 is actually 140mm and my case only fits 120mm radiators.*

but my situation only matches a 120mm radiator" might not be clear... lol
If you're looking for the x52, it's a solid cooler option.

The x42 is a 140mm rad, it doesn't fit. The Cryorig H7 provides sufficient cooling, but lacking support for at least 240mm makes water cooling unnecessary.

If you need the x52, it's a decent cooler.
That's what Corsair says about the 120mm radiator.
I checked my RAM and it's 35mm tall. I believe that height is the main factor preventing a 240mm radiator from fitting on top.
I just found an article mentioning a 240mm fitment.
