NZXT H6 RBG Flow Fans activate once upon powering on the PSU
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to figure out a problem with my new build. Yesterday I assembled the first computer I've ever made, and when I power on just the PSU, only the front three fans light up once. After that, pressing the power button works perfectly. I've checked everything—swapped fans, tried a different RGB port (D-LED1/D-LED2), and even used only two PCI-E connections. But the issue persists. My build has a 4080 Super which needs three PCI-E slots, but my Corsair 850e only has four (two for CPU and two for GPU). I've connected the last PCI-E via a daisy chain, but the GPU still won't turn on. I'm concerned this might be a problem with my build, possibly a manufacturing fault.
My current setup includes:
NZXT H6 FLOW RGB
AORUS B650 ELITE AX
AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D
GIGABYTE 4080 SUPER WINDFORCE
THERMALRIGHT PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 ARGB
KRYONAUT THERMAL COMPOUND
CORSAIR RM850E
LL120 CORSAIR FANS
Two NotCua Redux 140MM fans (not connected yet, just installed for later)
RGB settings are in the top-right header, but I'm unsure if it's D-LED1 or D-LED2. Both ports blink when turned on. Since this is my first build, I'm worried something might have gone wrong during assembly.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Consider moving to a different wall outlet and check if the problem continues.
The daisy chaining of the power connectors isn't likely the cause, but you might want to investigate the Type 4 cable;

If your PSU wasn't included with the 12VHPWR cable/connector, try this.
How do the fans respond when only one of the three front fans is connected?
Hey Lutfij,
Thanks for your reply. I also tried another source since it was first installed in the living room and now in my room, and everything looks the same. I plan to check the Corsair cable—I received it with that cable, but it doesn’t have the 600w label. Does that matter? To be sure, this would replace the 3-way splitter that came with my 4080 Super, and the Type 4s would go into the PSU?
