NXZT case fans and motherboards compatible with Kraken
Hello, I have a brief inquiry about compatibility between the NZXT case fans, the Kraken X53 and the Gigabyte X570 fan headers. I’m planning to install an exhaust fan and front radiator fans for the Kraken, and I want to ensure the CPU cooler fans can work alongside them. This is my first time using an AIO cooler, so I need to confirm if the case fans and CPU cooler fans can coexist on this board. Is there a method to achieve that?
The setup includes two fans, allowing for four fans to operate and be powered simultaneously.
Correct. You'll probably need fan spliters for the AIO and case fans, since most ITX boards only provide two fan headers (multiple fans can share one header depending on power requirements, which you can check on the fan hub). Most motherboard headers support up to 1A. The H210 includes AER F fans with a maximum draw of .18A, meaning you could run five fans off one header before needing an extra powered hub. https://www.nzxt.com/products/aer-f https://www.nzxt.com/products/h210-matte-white Please note: The official AER F listing refers to Fluid Dynamic Bearing fans, while the Case Page mentions AERF rifle bearing fans. It's possible the case fans differ, so you might be limited to three or fewer simultaneously.
The case fans require a 3-pin connection only. Your Gigabyte board offers just two fan headers, leaving no space for an AIO pump header. Fans with three pins must be connected to one header, while those with four pins should use the other. You’ll need fan splitters to link several fans to a single header, giving you maximum flexibility.
I understand this situation doesn't include a standard answer. I also believe the kraken isn't part of it either.
