NVMe SSDs and Z97 technology
Looking for NVMe SSDs with DRAM, compatible with Gigabyte Z97 boards. Drives that support booting from PCIe adapters are also a priority. Check recent reviews and compatibility lists since the M.2 Support List was updated around 2015.
Any NVMe SSD should function on that setup since it matches the hardware requirements. Choosing a reliable drive will ensure compatibility. Performance may be slightly reduced due to platform limitations on Gen 2 speeds for the chipset lanes.
z97 appears outdated compared to NVMe and M.2 standards, which began around Z170 roughly for M.2 and likely expanded for NVMe later on.
I don’t have enough info about your question. Could you clarify what you mean by "mb"?
if it has a slot then yes you can put one in... but with out knowing your mb its up to you to find witch fits and works.
