Marketing is essentially about deceiving customers. All businesses engage in this practice completely.
However, nobody else created lifelike hair like that (for instance). If developers did, they’d likely keep it secret and wouldn’t rely on the specialized PhysX chip—they’d probably build GameWorks tools to run smoothly on a dedicated processor without affecting performance.
