Some folks say Shadowplay can be a bit tricky, but my brother managed to stream S.W.O.R.T. with AMD's DVR at ultra settings and 720p at 60fps without any issues. It ran smoothly, though others might have different results.

Yes, OBS does have some performance issues. Also, the file sizes can be quite large.

AMD I’m hoping the FPS capture method isn’t being used anymore... It was working before but caused problems, so I switched to a capture card. They mentioned they’ll move to a constant FPS method now, but I haven’t had time to look into it yet.

They perform the same action mostly. The choice really comes down to personal preference for hardware brands.
