Hello, I recently updated to a 2080 graphics card and am experiencing significant performance problems. I’m struggling to maintain a consistent frame rate of 150 fps in Fortnite, even on the lowest settings, and Forza Horizon 4 is only playable at approximately 80 fps on maximum graphics – I suspect this isn’t optimal. My investigation suggests a potential bottleneck in my central processing unit, though I remain uncertain about the exact cause.

Here are my system specifications:
ASUS PRIME Z270-AR motherboard
2x8gb Ballistix Sport RAM at 2400 mhz
MSI RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO graphics card
Intel i5-7600k processor

The processor will prevent the card from being removed.

Can I improve performance in any way? I can't afford to upgrade my central processing unit at the moment, as this issue wasn’t anticipated.
