NVIDIA PPA supports Linux Mint, Ubuntu, and other distributions. You can install the latest drivers through Driver Manager without needing to worry about compatibility across all setups.

The PPA does the same thing on both. Unless you have a specific reason that requires its use, I'd always prefer official package sources.
