Previously I successfully set up OpenSuse with Windows 10 (appreciate Sauron!), but now I face a minor issue. I'm attempting to install the Linux drivers for my Nvidia GTX 970, but I'm uncertain which ones to choose. One indicates compatibility with 8xx cards and higher, yet the OS freezes after rebooting. There are also other versions for 7xx and 6xx cards, though I'm confident they won't work. Recommendations?

I left OpenSuse behind and switched to Ubuntu.

I’m trying to remain on the Red Hat branch to stay aligned with the same CLI commands used for CentOS on many servers. Yet setting up the Nvidia driver is significantly simpler in Ubuntu. This keeps me thinking about returning to Ubuntu occasionally.
