I could look for a low-quality DX8 card (9250) or similar since I suspect I lack a DX7 and want to test it. Issue: I require a CPU with SSE2 and AGP support, but those aren’t available.

Support for older titles like UT2004 and Quake3, as well as CS1.x, is possible but may violate forum guidelines. During the XP era, GPUs simply lack the capability for newer games. BF1942 and CoD1&2 would push the limits even further.
