Windows 10 functions perfectly. The main issue remains the same: hardware makers avoid creating new drivers for an OS that hasn't been officially launched (though RTM is available). Once they secure RTM, they begin development immediately. However, frequent restarts occur due to widespread issues. Companies ignore these problems, directing blame toward Microsoft instead of themselves, which benefits them. Nvidia has now released their drivers, but only for GeForce Experience and similar platforms. They may attempt minor fixes later, while concentrating on improving their drivers overall. The same pattern applies to other manufacturers.

Stop using the internet immediately after applying the 352.63 update. Take the driver out of Device Manager and then execute the patch.

Consensus reached. Manufacturers typically create drivers only for "upgrade" installations, not for regular use. Most users are upgrading their drivers frequently. It’s recommended to remove all existing drivers before installing the new one.

The Windows driver model became unreliable after Vista. If the setup is just poorly coded, then Microsoft really has limited options.

Both AMD and Nvidia recommend removing your old driver, restarting the system, installing the new one, and then restarting again.

This refers to Windows XP and earlier versions, where the update was never released. The changes you mentioned were introduced in Vista and later drivers.

You can't rely on those commands to fix the issue. Just because something is expected to work doesn't guarantee it will. Also, remember not to connect to the internet during the update. When Windows detects a missing driver, it will search online for the latest one, which can lead to conflicts. This is likely the most common problem many people face.

I received the driver update after upgrading to Windows 10. You might want to refresh the "Driver" area in your Nvidia GeForce Experience. However, I don’t think it’s necessary (it seems to work). Uninstalling and reinstalling your Nvidia GeForce Experience also resolves the issue.
