Sometimes when I turn on certain Telegram channels on my iPhone with iOS 14, the messages don't make a sound. There is also a silent alarm icon right next to them instead of playing audio. I checked everything but I can't find a way to fix this problem.
You can send a silent message on Telegram by sending one without typing anything into the chat box first. Just click the paper airplane icon at the bottom right and choose "Send" instead of hitting enter when you're done writing your text message. This way, you won't see the message appear in the conversation list until it actually arrives on their phone.
