Hi everyone, I'm thinking about purchasing two (2) g skill 3200mhz 8gb ram modules from a friend for $50. However, it seems they aren't compatible with my CPU. I'm not sure what generation of Ryzen I have since it's the new 12nm 1600 refit. My current specs are... I thought I'd check with experts before spending money. Thanks! RAM: G. Skill ripjaws 3200mhz DDR4 PC4 25600 F43200C16D16GVKB Current specs: Asrock B450M HDV MBD Ryzen 5 1600AF

they should function. probably not at 3200, more likely around 2933 or 3000, but it will still work

Thanks again! It seems I was considering 3200mhz G-Skill RAM but realized I might still have 2400mhz memory.

I had a tough experience with my wife's setup...this was an R5 2400G with 3000MHz RAM. It wasn’t great 🤢
