I was assembling my initial PC and accidentally damaged some of the CPU pins. Upon inspecting the socket, I wasn’t certain if the damage was permanent. Since I had already ordered a replacement CPU, I wondered whether my motherboard would also need to be swapped out.

If pins are in the socket, they will eventually have to be removed in one direction. The photo is somewhat unclear, so I can't confirm the exact situation.
