Fedora eliminates or disables any patent-protected features that could interfere with enterprise deployment. This applies to codecs as well. For Hardware Video Acceleration, you must either rely on RPMFusion Packages maintained by the community or employ Flatpak via Flathub, not the Fedora Flatpak repository or official Fedora repositories.
