I recently purchased a Ryzen 5 5600G but it doesn’t work with your Gigabyte A320M-S2H because the board can’t be updated via quickflash. I’ve already sent a support request to AMD and haven’t heard back yet. Would it be possible to use an AMD Athlon 3000G instead? Since you don’t have a graphics card, I’m not interested in any CPU options. I also changed my mind and want a better motherboard that supports flashback updates.

Updating the BIOS to version F40 or higher would resolve the issue, since that's when support for the Athlon 3000G was introduced. You may find a label on the motherboard indicating the version installed initially.

The product supports Ryzen Gen 3 across all 1.x, 2.x, and 3.x releases. You mentioned purchasing a different model earlier, so you can update its BIOS accordingly.

Upgrading BIOS requires a compatible processor, preferably with built-in graphics if your system lacks a dedicated GPU. A simpler option is to exchange the motherboard for one that supports QuickFlash or a BIOS version that’s recognized.

You're asking if an A320 can run on a Ryzen 5000 processor, and if a B450 would be any better. It sounds like you're curious about compatibility and performance after some tough experiences with older builds.
