I recently assembled my initial computer. It includes an ASUS B550 Plus with two M.2 slots, a Rizen 7 5800X, an ASUS TUF GTX 3080 Ti GPU, and Corsair Vengeance LX 2x16 at 3600 MHz CL18. Everything functions properly and boots correctly. However, when I try to activate the BIOS XMP profile, the system fails to restart. I'm curious about a fix for this issue. The RAM is only running at 2133 MHz, but I'd like it to increase to 3600. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

XMP is an Intel feature, indicating it's a tester designed for Intel processors. Generally it functions well with AMD, though there are exceptions. Experiment with the same XMP settings using a 3400 MHz clock to determine compatibility.

Thanks, I see the Rizen is named DOSS. It’s a straightforward configuration. I’m planning to explore advanced features but want to skip that path. Should I consider updating the BIOS and CPU?

You can refresh the BIOS, which occasionally improves RAM speed but I wouldn’t rely too much on it... You may need to physically update the RAM using traditional methods... Keep the voltage set according to the XMP profile and check the results.

DOP is the right choice for this setup with Ryzen's BIOS update improving stability. Begin at 3200 and increase gradually. The 5000 series performs well at 3200 C16, mathematically matching 3600 C18 and 3200 C16 at 200 cycles per latency.

Thanks! I'll attempt it manually.

I'll give it a shot, thanks! Would have loved to verify the mobs' classes.

I believe I understand it now. The PCU supports up to 320 MHz, so my next thought is... can I find a method to keep the PCU stable at 3600 MHz? Or should I switch to advanced settings and use 3200 MHz instead?

It's not about the processor speed; they max out at around 3200 MHz. I think it could handle a more powerful 4400 MHz RAM... Just boost the memory to 3600 MHz or higher if possible.

Same problems have occurred before. You can turn on XMP, but you also need to manually activate gear down mode in the advanced memory settings. Leaving it on auto might cause issues. It should function properly with XMP enabled.
