Not possible to redirect traffic or connect as expected.
Hello everyone, I'm really uncertain about what to do next. I've tried all the possible solutions I can think of, but port forwarding isn't working on my new internet connection. I called the ISP today and they haven't reported any issues with it, so I suspect the problem might be on my end. I've also tested different programs like a Plex media server, FTP server, and Minecraft servers, but they don't function properly. I'm wondering if there are any router settings I should adjust. I've already tried setting it up in DMZ without success. My TP-Link Archer C6 is on a PPPoE network. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Antonio.
Confirmed your software settings, including the Windows firewall, are configured to permit those ports.
I was required to contact them repeatedly whenever my modem received a new IP address, so they could activate NAT/NVI for my network. In the process, they pushed me to obtain a fixed IP address.
i also called them today and didnt mention anything like this so im not sure if theres another solution
Are the routers using the same IP ranges as the public ones? 10.0.0.0/16, 192.168.0.0/16 or 100.64.0.0/10? If the private IP differs from the public one, it's likely CGNAT in place, making port forwarding impossible. Your ISP might be able to adjust this for a charge, or you could set up a VPN to a VPS or similar.
