Not possible to activate TPM and Secure Boot together.
Not possible to activate TPM and Secure Boot together.
Hi everyone! I was attempting to get my laptop ready for Windows 11, even though my CPU isn’t officially supported. At first, the PC Health Check app warned me it couldn’t run the OS. I verified TPM was enabled, then checked Secure Boot, which was disabled. After switching it on, TPM disappeared and the error persisted with code 0x90080029. When I turned off Secure Boot, TPM still wasn’t accessible, showing the same error. Resetting the BIOS restored TPM functionality, but Secure Boot remained off. (Note: SB support is mentioned but disabled.) Now I’m missing BIOS settings to toggle TPM on or off. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Laptop details: Asus GL502VT, BIOS 3.0.3 (last updated 2019/06). If you have more questions, feel free to ask! Thanks in advance! P.S.: I plan to wait for Windows 11 release before installing it, as my current PC is my primary device for work and gaming.
It's likely a software update will be released soon to resolve the problem. This BIOS was released in 2019, making it at least a year old. If ASUS intends to maintain support for it, and if this is indeed a bug, it should be fixed shortly, ensuring your motherboard remains compatible.
