Hi, After being messaged around for a few weeks by amazon I refunded my order of Trident Z Neo and am yet again looking at buying this to pair with a 5900x - https://uk.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/bl2k16g36c16u4wl - and hoping it turns up as a dual rank kit. However after checking the mobo qvl (Asus b550-e) I can't seem to find it on there... Can anybody tell me if this memory will be fine or if has been used with this mobo before? It should work without issues. The QVL displays only the products they’ve explicitly verified; other kits in the compatible range should function properly. Previously, older Ryzen models had some strict RAM requirements, but Zen 3 offers more flexibility.

Based on what I know, single rank simplifies the process for suppliers to boost higher MHz in memory. Dual rank appears quicker in professional settings, though the improvement is only a few percent, and gaming sees almost no difference. In general, dual rank was once seen as "slow" when Ryzen had a weak memory controller, which has since been fixed with a much better one. This video gives a clearer explanation than I can. Also, please tell me if I'm wrong—I might be misunderstanding things. My knowledge comes from multiple sources and opinions, not just personal experience or testing.
