Hi, I've just relocated and am relying on Wi-Fi instead of a wired setup. My PC lacks Wi-Fi support and doesn't have any adapters available. I'm using my Lenovo P1m phone connected through a front USB 2.0 port. The connection functions well for browsing, but gaming causes Windows to emit a disconnection sound. This occurs in all games, including Far Cry 3 singleplayer, and sometimes when the PC is under heavy load, similar to what happened in that game. An error message appeared: WSAENETUNREACH. The signal strength is weak at about two out of four bars. The connection speed is slow, but I can't change anything since my ISP only offers one option. PC specs: CPU - Intel Pentium G3460, RAM - 6 GB DDR3, motherboard - MSI H81-P33. Should I invest in a proper adapter or is the issue elsewhere (router, PC)? Note: The disconnection problem stopped after moving the phone to a rear USB 3.0 port.

Choose the right adapter, using both tethering and regular updates via another device might be causing issues. Opt for a good Wi-Fi adapter at a reasonable cost, ensuring it matches your router’s WiFi version for optimal performance.
