You recently tried CS:GO again and only achieved an average of 98fps with most settings set to medium. Your friend consistently hits 110-130 fps despite having a less powerful build. I initially considered packet loss, but it seems my internet connection is more stable than his even though he has higher upstream and downstream speeds. He excels in competitive play and rarely plays, so I’m curious if something else might be affecting my performance. Regarding your Ryzen setup, you followed Panjno’s configuration: a Ryzen 5 2400G, two 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM modules, an RX 580 8GB, and an A320M Pro VH. Your build uses an i3 7100, an i7-8700G, an RX 570 4GB, and a B365 motherboard. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Hey, your CPU temps are consistently around 40°C to 60°C based on your activities, and your GPU temps sit between 40°C and 75°C too. Also, your friend isn’t pushing the overclocking limits, and we’re both using the same configurations in CS:GO.

It seems the stronger results likely come from a better CPU, especially since CSGO mainly depends on single-core performance. The 2400G uses a first-gen Ryzen and wasn’t great for gaming before. I’d bet you both could get higher FPS in CSGO, but I’m not really familiar with the game yet.

The intel CPU excels in single-core speed, likely providing a small advantage. If you played games where graphics were less important or multi-threading mattered more, you might see better results than with this CPU. TLDR: Intel’s single-core performance suits CS:GO better.
