Hello! Welcome, first time user. I recently installed a new power supply and connected everything, but the CPU fan isn’t working. It seems to be the second unit I’ve tried with the same issue, so it might not be a faulty part. I’m the one who’s having trouble. I can access the ASUS BIOS and boot Windows without any problems. I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Any advice would be really helpful. Thank you!

Yes, alternative fan headers can function depending on compatibility and system requirements.

Yes, all other fans function properly and the CPU fan continues to operate even after connecting the old power supply.

The power supply feeds the board, which sends it to the fan headers; this could point to a BIOS or motherboard issue. Check the 24-pin connector for any faults that might affect certain rails.

It is connected and functions with the previous power supply unit.

Absolutely, that's correct. I'll take care of it. Looking into it further sounds useful.

It seems the system won’t function properly due to power supply issues. The PSU provides different voltages for various components, but fans rely on 12V. If the board doesn’t receive these voltages, it won’t start. Ensure all connections are secure and consider resetting the BIOS settings.

Did you replace every PSU cable with the new one? Are all connections fully secured?

Have you explored linking that fan to another header on the board? The next action would be to open the BIOS and review the fan curve, adjusting any fans to 100% to see if they react.
