The distinction lies in what each product offers. The Norton 360 page highlights general security features, while the Norton Security listing focuses on device protection. Note that online security isn't identical to Norton Internet Security (NIS).

They offer the same safeguards, but the first is limited to PCs while the second works on PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

With 320 entries, I’m really hoping you’re not planning to use them.

Your score is based on the number of posts you've made, not your mental abilities. Norton works well for many users, and you can turn off the automatic SSD defragmentation if needed.

Norton ranks among the least effective antivirus solutions. Many users pay for it to block malware, but it drains significant system resources. Real-world feedback suggests it’s not worth the cost.

I reached out to Symantec, who confirmed they were the same product. It supports use on five devices and all devices. Additionally, IS offers a marginally improved heuristic scan, while virus definitions are automatically downloaded—something I believe should also be part of 360. That’s the main distinction.
