(noob) where is all my memory?
(noob) where is all my memory?
Hey, I'm not great with this stuff and I'm looking for some assistance. After roughly five hours of using my computer, it becomes extremely slow no matter what I'm doing. My memory seems almost full, but the task manager shows only about 3 out of 16GB in use. Isn't Windows 11 really consuming around 13GB? Probably not! I tried searching online and changed some settings in regedit, but nothing worked. I turned off notifications, ran performance checks, etc. Is 16GB really enough for Windows 11?

Download and execute Process Explorer as an administrator (if multiple versions appear, run "procexp64.exe"), then arrange by "Working Set" to view results. If "Working Set" isn't visible, right-click the columns, choose "Select Columns", navigate to the "Process Memory" tab, and check the box for "Working Set Size".
