Any time you try to add ram to existing ram it's iffy if it'll work or not. The faster and Larger the size of the ram the more likely a bad outcome.
Buying the exact same kit of tridents comes with the same risks. The reason they sell 2-4-8 stick kits is they are guaranteed to work together

So even if I went and bought the same ones I already have the ripjaw v series it’s not a guarantee they will be compatible if I want four or 64 gigs is to buy them as a set. And are the Rio jaws I already have is that a good choice thanks fir your response by the way

That is correct. It is NOT guaranteed to work. That doesn't mean it WON'T work. You always have the best chance of success with a matched set. Anything other than a matched set is just a crapshoot.

That is correct. It is NOT guaranteed to work. That doesn't mean it WON'T work. You always have the best chance of success with a matched set. Anything other than a matched set is just a crapshoot.
