Hey, I recently made several changes to my PC and it’s not functioning as expected. I’m trying to figure out if the issue is due to software or hardware. As mentioned in the notes, all other functions are working except for games. My system specs are: an i7-5930K processor, a 980Ti SLI (2-way) setup, a 34-inch 1440p 21:9 gaming screen, a 21.5-inch 1080p 16:9 display connected in series, 64GB DDR4 RAM (G.Skill @2133Mhz), a Samsung 950 Pro 512GB PCI-E M.2 card, a custom water cooling loop, a 1000W power supply, and no overclocking has been done.

So far, possible causes seem to be: the Windows 10 Anniversary update (Auto-restart + recent changes), the dual 980Ti upgrade, or settings in the Nvidia control panel. I’ve tried reinstalling Visual C++ redistributables from 2005 to 2015 SP1, disabling SLI in the Nvidia panel, removing the bridge, and even installing QuickTime 7 (which fixed iTunes but not games).

Before these changes, everything worked perfectly—now benchmark files like Firestrike won’t load, possibly due to fullscreen issues or something else. I’ve rolled back to an earlier Windows version, but I’ve lost the Nvidia control panel and my 21:9 screen, and I don’t get any signal from the GPU.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The easiest step was updating the video drivers and installing them again, since NVIDIA released a new version tailored for the Anniversary Update.

Sure, I've also attempted that earlier when working on the restoration back to pre-anniversary.

I recommend downloading the Windows 10 ISO directly from Microsoft and performing a fresh installation.
