For privacy enthusiasts... try Whonix. It's built on Debian but runs differently, prioritizing privacy above everything else. It treats privacy as the most important thing. Performance isn't great, and internet speed will be much slower than usual because it uses Tor networks.

To boost security, install an encrypted Debian on USB sticks, set up VirtualBox, and run Whonix Gateway/Workstation inside VirtualBox. Keep your system clean after each fresh install. This setup offers a level of security that most people require.

Linux Mint has never faced spyware problems, unlike some other Linux distributions. Other Linux OSes have reported such issues in the past.
