I was adjusting my Intel Core I5-6500 with the ASUS Z170-E non-K Skylake guide, everything functioned properly except for the boot time until the first beep, which took roughly ten seconds longer. This caused frustration, so I reset the BIOS version and let the CPU run freely. Now it boots quickly again. I’m curious if reoverclocking and enabling Fast Boot in BIOS will restore the previous speed. Also, is it safe to turn on Fast Boot? I found some online discussions mentioning issues like being unable to enter BIOS or slower OS performance after enabling it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Unless circumstances have shifted, I don't think it's possible to push non-K chips beyond their limits.

Unless there have been changes, I doubt you can overclock non K chips. I believe some people say you can adjust the base clock and reduce the multipliers for everything except the CPU, which stays fixed. But I don't have much experience with this.
